Cruze transmission problem (Part 16)

After starting my 2010 Holden Cruze this morning I couldn't get it out of Park. It had to be manually put into Reverse by the roadside assistance serviceman. He took it for a run and the manual side of it doesn't work either. Also I cannot get the keys out of the ignition. It runs fine when in Drive.

The dreaded Cruze transmission problem strikes again. If you bought the car new go to Holden and seek their agreement to fix it, which I would expect them to do. If you bought it secondhand you can also ask them to fix it, but it will come down to how generous they are feeling.
