Cranky Commodore

I BOUGHT my first car, a 1990 VN Calais, about a month ago. It is in immaculate condition, has only travelled 183,000 clicks and drives very well. Everything works and I cannot believe the condition -- it's like it left the showroom. The other day, however, it just cut out. It has only done this a couple of times before, when it was idling in my driveway, and it restarted straight away. Do you have any idea what could have caused this? My dad thinks it could be a problem with the crank angle sensor?

I THINK your dad is on the money. The crank angle sensors are notorious for giving trouble in these older Commodores.
