Holden Captiva: Limp mode

...

After a short drive in my 2008 Holden Captiva all engine lights come on and it goes into limp home mode.

I have taken it to a Holden dealership and $2000 dollars later it was cleared, only to reappear three weeks later.

To make matters worse all of a sudden when starting the car it seems the battery is flat until you pump the accelerator and then the car starts.

Any help would be appreciated.

The starting problem could be the result of an alternator that's not charging the battery. Have an auto electrician check it.

Trying to find the cause of the engine warning lights coming on is a tough one.

If they are on all the time then take it to a dealer or a mechanic with diagnostic gear to check the system. It must be either a wiring problem or a sensor malfunction.
