Berlina misfires

I HAVE a VX Berlina that has an intermittent misfire under acceleration. It happens mostly when you tip into the throttle going from, say, 60-70km/h on a slight incline. I thought it was running out of fuel, but a friend told me it could be a vacuum sensor. What do you think?

I WOULD lean towards the ignition system and have the leads, ignition coils and the coil mountings checked. You could also have someone run over the engine diagnostics for you.
