I HAVE a 2006 VZ Holden Calais that had the same problem with the battery going flat as recently reported by a Carsguide reader. My Holden dealer said the computers stay active for a period of time after you switch off. This problem kept happening for 18 months and the dealer was unable to fix it, so I had the NRMA check it. They told me the battery was too small for the car. I replaced it with the largest one for my car and have not had a problem since.
WE ARE told by a source other than Holden that a fix was brought out for this problem a few months ago. It's claimed that the car's seven computers were staying on too long after the ignition was switched off and draining the battery, also that there was a problem if you used a Bluetooth phone with the ignition on accessories.
