Audi ESP switch faulty

The ESP light on my Audi A4 has come on and won't go off. A mechanic friend couldn't find the problem with the diagnostic tool and he thinks it could be a faulty ESP switch.

I wouldn't rely on your mate's check, take it to an Audi dealer and get it properly diagnosed and fixed.
