While my 2006 VZ Commodore V6 seems to run fine and I can't say that it feels to have has lost power there seems to be quite a bit of visible smoke coming from the exhaust on cold start up and running. Once the engine is warm, the visible smoke reduces. I have noticed 'excessive' smoke being emitted from other Alloytec-powered Commodores on occasions. Is 'smoky' cold running a normal characteristic of the Alloytec motor or should I be worried that something is wrong?
It doesn’t sound like there’s anything wrong, the ‘smoke’ is pretty normal for most cars during the warm-up phase.
