    Ask Smithy Xtra Another cracked Prado dash

    Toyota Toyota Advice Toyota Prado Toyota Prado Advice Toyota Landcruiser Prado 2003
    Like some other readers have reported the dash in my 2003 Toyota Prado is cracked. The crack started above the passenger side airbag and has spread to above the vents and instrument cluster. I made a claim with my dealer, but it was rejected by Toyota. It?s the last Toyota I will ever own.

    It’s damned annoying, and looks terrible, but if the cracks are cosmetic only and don’t affect the function of the airbags or anything else in the dash area there’s not much you can do about it. The car is well out of warranty and Toyota would say, I’m sure, that it is simply wear and tear.
