I have a 2010 Holden Cruze that has just ticked over 119,000 km and the auto transmission has gone. I was driving my car and all of a sudden it got stuck in gear. It wouldn't move, it just revved. I am aware that this is a common problem in the Cruze and people have had their auto transmissions replaced 'quietly' by Holden. I am just about to buy a new car and was planning for a changeover. What do I do in this situation now?
You need to get it fixed, without doing that you car is seriously devalued. I would approach Holden, either through your Holden dealer or directly through the company's Customer assistance service and try and negotiate a deal to have the gearbox replaced.
