Toyota Raize

Toyota Raize

Launched in 2019, the Toyota Raize is a compact SUV developed in partnership with Daihatsu, riding on the DNGA platform shared with the Daihatsu Rocky. Designed primarily for urban drivers seeking SUV styling with small-car practicality, the Raize quickly gained traction in Asian markets, including Indonesia and Japan, thanks to its affordable price, upright stance and surprising interior space.

Although not officially offered in Australia, the Raize aligns closely with local buyer preferences for compact crossovers. Internationally, it’s also sold under the Perodua Ativa badge in Malaysia, while the Daihatsu Rocky version has its own following in select markets. Under the bonnet, most Raize models feature a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine, with some variants offering a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated option.

With strong sales and positive reviews for its efficiency and clever packaging, the Raize reinforces Toyota’s ability to tap into emerging market demands.
