Carsguide Contributing Journalist Stephen Ottley had this to say at the time: Obviously we’ll have to reserve definitive judgement on the merits of this new GR86 until we get it on the road, but our initial drive was overwhelmingly positive. Toyota has managed to retain the fun-to-drive character of the out-going model but improve the two key areas it needed to - more grunt and a better cabin.
