Selling tips

My partner bought a 2005 Holden Astra convertible two years ago loved it, but about six months ago the roof for some reason gave out. It's believed after JB Hi-Fi put a new stereo in. As a result she is now very keen on selling it. The soft top doesn't open, it looks like the hydraulic hose has come off and lost its oil? And it's believed as a result the boot, which is empty, does not open. With the boot locked can we still get a roadworthy and what would you now benchmark a price at?
I am about to purchase a MY16 VW Golf R DSG and I'm concerned about the resale value with the diesel-gate issue. The dealer has already reduced the price by $1400 since the last quote he gave me three weeks ago. Do you foresee any impact to the non-diesel models or to the brand at resale?
What is a fair price for a 2004 Mercedes-Benz Vito van? It is in good condition with new tyres and 12 months registration and has done just less than 145,000 km?
What is the best time to sell my 2013 Toyota RAV4 GXL AWD and not lose too much money? It is just two years old, it's a one-owner, and it has done 15,400 km. It's got metallic paint, is still under warranty, and is in excellent condition?
I have a black 2002 Astra CD 5-door hatch with full Holden By Design body kit, sports suspension, 17-inch wheels, factory-fitted Blaupunkt stacker CD stereo that has CD, Radio and cassette. We've had it since new and it has a genuine 52,000km on the clock. It still smells like a new car inside. The timing belt and tensioners were changed at 28,000km simply because the car was five years old at the time. It's been serviced every 12 months and the full Holden dealer service history is in the service book. This is an immaculate motorcar. Without seeing it what do you think would be a reasonable price to be asking for it?
We have inherited a 1985 Mazda 626, which has done about 58,000km and has not been out of the owner's garage since 1999, although it is still registered! It is in excellent condition, with exception of tyres and battery, although the back seat and inside rear door panels have been removed for some reason and we have not put those back. We would like some advice please about what it might be worth.
I have a slightly hail damaged 2005 BMW 120i auto with low kilometres. Is it worth listing "as is" or paying for the repair first?
