I purchased my 2010 Holden JG CDX Cruze secondhand in 2014 from a dealership. It had 46,000 km on the clock, it now has 123,000 km.

About six months ago a mechanic informed me that there was oil in my radiator. He drained the oil from the top (as it wasn't mixed), flushed the coolant out and refilled it with fresh coolant. After driving my car minimally for the last six months, my car now has trouble accelerating, changing gears and even trouble going on inclines. The mechanic said that oil had mixed in with my radiator and gone through all the hoses in my car and affected my gearbox, hence the car is not running at proper capacity.

After reading about quite a few similar problems I was wondering if Holden does fix these under 'goodwill'.

I've taken mine back to the dealership and am waiting to hear the verdict, but was wondering from your experience what the possible outcome could be and if this is a problem you have heard about often?

I'm after a bit of advice regarding my 2012 Volvo XC60, which I bought new. After having the car for some time, I noticed one day when the windscreen fogged up that suction cup marks were visible on the inside of the windscreen, but did not think much of it. It has had a few issues covered by warranty and been the subject of two recalls for different things since and I was starting to wonder if I had bought a bit of a lemon! This winter I have noticed that when it rains, water is getting in along the top of the windscreen, which has brought me to the conclusion that the windscreen was replaced or pulled out and put back in before I bought the car and it was not sealed properly. The dealership has told me that it is not uncommon for the seals to fail due to wear and tear. I have never had a windscreen leak on any previous car and I don’t recall anyone in my family having an issue of this kind. I would be interested to hear your opinion on this, and if this a problem that often occurs? What should I do? Obviously, I need to get this fixed, but the dealer has quoted well over a $1000. I feel a bit ripped off, for a car that is only five years old, and only done around 45,000 km.
