Subaru has hinted at its next Levorg wagon with the reveal at the Geneva motor show of its Viziv Tourer concept, an estate version of the WRX-previewing four-door show car shown at the 2017 Tokyo motor show.In addition to the Viziv Performance STI concept revealed in January, Subaru is continuing to steer the WRX family further afield from the Impreza small-car range.However, it is excepted the production version of the Viziv Tourer will be underpinned by Subaru's new Global Platform that the current Impreza and XV small SUV is already built on.On show this week at the Geneva motor show, the Viziv Tourer Concept sits on an extended 2730mm wheelbase (the current WRX is 2650mm) and measures 4775mm in length, 1930mm wide and 1435mm high.For comparison, the current Levorg measures 4690mm long, 1780mm wide and is 1485mm tall.Subaru announced the concept saying it embodies "the brand's vision for the future of making cars that deliver enjoyment and peace of mind to its customers".However, exact powertrain details were not divulged.The concept adheres to the show-car principles by having some potentially non-production items, such as the four-seat arrangement, 20-inch wheels and barely there side-view mirrors.It follows the design theme of the sedan concept with ultra-slim LED headlights, Subaru's signature hexagonal grille, large brake intakes and a pronounced lower air dam.In profile it presents as a rakish wagon with a low roofline and sleek tail lines, closely following the rear three-quarter treatment of Volvo's V-series models.The wagon design also neatly separates the future production model from the more off-road inspired Outback SUV.Prominent 'EyeSight' safety sensors can also been glimpsed on the Viziv Tourer concept, with Subaru playing up the technology as a cornerstone for its model."In anticipation of widespread future deployment of automated driving technologies, advanced driver-assist functions combining the next-generation EyeSight system with other devices have been installed in the car to reduce driver fatigue on long journeys and enable active enjoyment of driving with peace of mind," the Japanese carmaker said.Not the first Viziv concept revealed by Subaru, the moniker first appeared at the 2013 Geneva and Frankfurt motor shows as a diesel hybrid two-door hatch before expanding to more body styles.The show cars have been used by Subaru to gauge and refine concepts before production, which is exactly the route predicted by the latest Viziv wagon.If it becomes a production reality, it will likely morph into the next-generation Levorg due for release around 2020.
