Skoda Yeti Australia

The Skoda Yeti is a small crossover SUV that hit Australian shores in 2011.

While the Skoda Yeti may have a relatively unknown brand name, it shares many components with its sister cars: the Volkswagen Tiguan and Audi Q3.

Yeti engines range from efficient turbo-diesels to punchy turbo-petrols, and can specified with manual or dual-clutch automatic transmissions. Drive can be sent to the front wheels or through an all-wheel drive system, depending on the variant.

Variants range from the $11,800 Yeti 81 TSI Active (4x2) to the $24,090 Yeti Outdoor 110 TSI (4X4).

The Yeti was killed off in 2017 to help make way for the Skoda Karoq.

Skoda Yeti Q&As

Check out real-world situations relating to the Skoda Yeti here, particularly what our experts have to say about them.

  • Skoda Yeti 2012: What to look out for?

There’s no way to tell if the DSG gearbox will play up in the future, all you can do now is to test drive the car in as many driving situations as you can and look for anything that might suggest an underlying problem. If it drives ok I wouldn’t be concerned about it. Brakes do tend to wear out faster on European cars than cars from Asia, and parts are likely to be a little more expensive. It’s important to verify the low odometer reading, and it should have a record of regular servicing.

The Yeti is under-appreciated in Australia as the original styling was a bit confronting. It's a practical compact package that gets The Tick from me and should work for you.
