BMW Australia is confident there’s still a need for small cars in the local market, citing the success of the X1 SUV as it launches its new 1 Series hatch locally.

BMW’s most affordable model has just been given a significant makeover. The 1 Series hatchback has been overhauled for 2025, with refreshed styling, a new interior, tweaked underpinnings, a big uptick in standard gear and a name change.
