The EQE Sedan is a nice blend of traditional Mercedes-Benz luxury design elements and more contemporary, hit-tech touches that have come to define electric vehicles.
This combination makes for a very premium look and feel to the cabin.
Being built a bespoke electric vehicle platform means there is extra room and small item storage spaces around the interior.
The EQE Sedan uses a 90kWh lithium-ion battery.
The EQE300 has the longest range at 508km on the WLTP test cycle. The EQE350 range is rated at 462km and the AMG EQE53 has a claimed range of 435km.
Energy use is rated at 16.3kWh/100km for the 300, 17.6kWh/100km for the 350 and 21.8kWh/100km for the 53.
The boot in the Mercedes-Benz EQE Sedan measures 430 litres. Despite being a bespoke electric vehicle there is no under bonnet storage space.
The EQE 300 accelerates 0-100km/h in 7.3 seconds. The dual-motor EQE 350 4Matic manages the same feat in 6.3 seconds. The more powerful dual-motor AMG EQE 53 4Matic+ can launch from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 220km/h.
Mercedes-Benz offers the EQE Sedan in six colours - black, blue, white, silver, red and grey.
The EQE is a well-appointed luxury car with Mercedes' latest MBUX multimedia system, a Burmester 3D surround sound system, smartphone integration for Apple and Android devices and wireless charging, heated seats and a panoramic sliding sunroof.
The EQE 300 and EQE 350 models come with AMG Line interior and exterior packages. These include sports-style seats, a multifunction sports steering wheel in Nappa leather and AMG floor mats. Externally there are 20-inch alloy wheels and an ‘AMG-inspired’ body styling package that includes a tiny three-pointed star repeating pattern on the ‘grille’ panel.
The EQE300 gets a single, rear-mounted motor that makes 180kW/550Nm of torque.
The EQE350 4Matic, it gets two motors, one on each axle, which combine to provide 215kW/765Nm and provide all-wheel drive traction.
The AMG EQE53 4Matic+ has uniquely tuned dual-motors that produce 460kW/950Nm.
The bespoke electric vehicle platform means the space in the EQE Sedan is generous. The front seats are comfortable and supportive and the rear bench can accomodate up to three people in comfort.
