Hyundai Accent boot heat
Answered by Graham Smith · 27 Jun 2014

You must expect the boot to become warm to some extent, but it's unusual that it becomes hot. I would measure the temperature it reaches and then take that to the dealer and discuss the issue with them. If it is getting hot there must be something causing it, and that needs to be found and fixed.

I would go for an i30. It's a former Carsguide Car of the Year and you will get a car with the remainder of the five-year warranty

The i30 definitely gets The Tick and should be fine for you.

Kia Carnival or VW Multivan?
Answered by Paul Gover · 04 Aug 2014

Don’t judge the Carnival by the badge, as it definitely gets The Tick. The The Multivan is also far more practical than any SUV, as you will find when you try to load all the stuff that comes with four youngsters. If you absolutely must play the SUV game, go for a Hyundai Santa Fe, also a Tick winner.

You should go for it. It gets The Tick from me and Hyundai has a great reputation for reasonable running costs.

Hyundai ix35 2013: Head gasket leak

You have no chance of getting a replacement car and there is no reason to think that your car will not be fixed when the repairs are done.

Hyundai Tiburon a good used buy?
Answered by Graham Smith · 29 Aug 2014

The Tiburon uses many of the same parts as other Hyundai models, and the servicing is the same, so there’s no extra cost because it is a sports model. There are no major issues to worry about; the Tiburon was a pretty reliable car. The most important thing in a car that is this old is the condition. Don’t buy a car that appears to have been neglected or knocked about, buy the best you can afford.

Hyundai iLoad 2009: Turbo actuator fault
Answered by Graham Smith · 19 Sep 2014

If it were the actuator that has failed again I would think you had a strong claim for a replacement. The part that was fitted has a warranty, and if it has failed, the warranty on the actuator should cover the replacement.

Hyundai i30 2014: Problems with sat nav
Answered by Carsguide.com.au · 12 Sep 2014

The replacement system should be one that's equivalent in age and condition to the old one, and in the case of one that is five weeks old I would expect the replacement to be new.
