Geely Emgrand

Geely Emgrand

The Geely Emgrand arrived in 2009 as a cornerstone for the brand. Originally launched under the luxury-focused Emgrand sub-brand as the Emgrand EC7, it was designed to meet international safety standards. It offered a spacious cabin and high equipment levels for its price point. This first generation helped establish the manufacturer as a serious global player in the sedan market.

Major updates followed in 2014 and 2018 to keep the model competitive against Japanese rivals. These iterations introduced modern styling and improved interior materials. In some overseas markets, the vehicle was sold as the Geely Emgrand 7 or Tobe M’way. The fourth generation launched in 2021 and moved to a newer BMA platform shared with other group products.

The current, fifth-generation Geely Emgrand debuted in 2025. It targets the mid-size segment with a focus on hybrid technology and digital features. Buyers can expect a 1.5-litre plug-in hybrid powertrain that balances fuel efficiency with daily performance. This latest version marks a significant step up in cabin tech and overall build quality.
