V8 Supercars Australia also announced a new agreement to continue to compete at Queensland Raceway. The Bahrain was dropped because of "congestion of the circuit's international racing calendar", however the season will begin again in the Mid East on February 10-12 at Abu Dhabi.
Adelaide and Sydney will again start and end the Australian rounds in March and December. An anticipated round in Singapore has been postponed until 2012 when the new Changi circuit opens.
The Gold Coast round remains in October, but will not clash with a Formula One race, allowing more ex-F1 racers to compete. The development series will compete at seven events.
