THE inclusion of several male models in this year's Pirelli Calendar prompted us to ask you whether it would appeal to women as much as to men.
It seems the answer is a resounding 'yes', judging by the amount of women who entered - and who figured strongly in the list of final winners.
Anne Costello of New South Wales takes home the first prize of a set of Pirelli Cinturato tyres, plus a copy of this year's calendar, with her answer that:
The Pirelli Calendar's artistic, sexy flare, would appeal to both men and women everywhere. Women love the artistic sleekness. The sensual women are men's weakness.
The calendar winner in Victoria was Jessie Worthington, with:
There's a heroine named Julianne Moore, who goes out to war, to even the score, kicks skinny models out the door, women's image finally restored!
In Queensland, the calendar went to Delia Tindal, who asked:
It's sexy. It's stylish. It's fun. It's everything appealing rolled into one. Please put my name on the list of who's won!
The South Australia/Northern Territory calendar went to Ron Gray for:
Pirelli makes you want to be, exactly what the eyes do see. For male and female I do feel, youth and beauty will always appeal.
In Tasmania, the winning entry was Jill King's:
Man or woman, car or tyre. It makes no difference which we admire. VIP or mere mortal, we all appreciate the Pirelli portal.
And Rod Birch won in Western Australia with a clever play on the Pirelli spelling:
Pictures of sheer beauty. Iconic tyre brand. Revered by others. Elect to choose distinction. Let him admire. Let her adore. Inspiration and quality beyond gender.
