Pricing and specification for the Subaru Crosstrek SUV have been confirmed, with pre-orders now open for the all-new XV replacement.

Due to hit local showrooms in April this year, prices for the compact crossover wagon range from $34,990 to $45,090 plus on-road costs across a five-model line-up.

All are all-wheel drive, powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine in Subaru’s signature horizontally opposed layout, L and S grades adding mild-hybrid support to the powertrain package. Transmission is a CVT auto (non-hybrid: eight-speed / hybrid: seven-speed).Ā

Also featuring is Subaru’s comprehensive ā€˜EyeSight’ active safety tech, now with the addition of a ā€˜Wide Angle Monocular Camera’ supporting the existing stereo camera set-up to add speed-sign recognition, a lane-centring function and an overall wider field-of-view to the system’s capability.

In terms of specification, LED headlights and tail-lights are standard across the range, as is a palette of 10 colours including four new shades - Sun Blaze Pearl, Oasis Blue, Sapphire Blue Pearl and Offshore Blue Metallic.

Multimedia has been upgraded with an 11.6-inch, portrait-oriented touchscreen as well as a 360-degree 3D camera view. Type-A and Type-C USB ports are on-board.

Model highlights:

Crosstrek ($34,990 BOC): 17-inch alloy wheels, auto LED headlights and tail-lights, power-folding exterior mirrors, cloth seat trim, 11.6-inch multimedia screen, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, EyeSight driver assist package (including AEB and adaptive cruise) plus six-speaker audio.
