Lexus ES300h 2019 pricing and specs confirmed

The seventh-generation ES mid-size sedan is exclusively powered by a hybrid powertrain.

Lexus Australia will release its new ES300h mid-size sedan this month, available exclusively with hybrid powertrains and offered in just two grades, Luxury and Sports Luxury.

The Luxury kicks things off at $59,888 plus on-road costs, up to $74,888 for the Sports Luxury.

This translates to a $3862 price reduction for the entry-level variant and a price hike of $2978 for the range topper.

Matched with a 2.5-litre petrol engine, the hybrid components are now lighter and more efficient which Lexus says results in much smoother power delivery.

Now in its seventh generation, the new-look ES offers increased safety technology, improved performance and more standard equipment.

Key upgrades include a standard head-up display, a 12.3-inch multimedia system, wireless phone charger and road-sign assist.

The ES300h is equipped with Lexus' self-charging hybrid system, with power boosted by 9kW to 160kW for the new model, and fuel consumption has been reduced by 16.4 per cent to a claimed 4.6L/100km on the combined cycle.

A 10-speaker Pioneer audio system is equipped as standard, however the Sports Luxury ups the ante with a 17-speaker Mark Levinson system.

The Sports Luxury is also treated to three-zone climate control with a humidity sensor, a hands-free boot opener, semi-aniline leather-accented seats, a heated steering wheel and heated and reclining rear seats.

Moreover, the ES range-topper boasts adaptive high beams, a panoramic view camera, blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
