Floor space in the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre’s main halls was confirmed to be at capacity months ago as exhibitors locked away space, and as a result, the Motor Show has been forced out the doors – literally.

The Australian International Motor Show will expand its presence onto the forecourt of Darling Harbour with over 5,500 square meters of outdoor space solely dedicated to exhibitors and their activities, thus providing for one of Australia’s largest ever Motor Shows.

An impressive 27 brands with vehicles representing almost 95 per cent of the new cars sold thus far in 2012 will exhibit, with many not only debuting new vehicles, but also brand-new stand designs.

“We have been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of exhibitors this year, at least eight have confirmed to us they will be revealing all-new stands and we are hearing fantastic things about innovative new features and elaborate layouts,” said Russ Tyrie, Event Director.

“A special exhibit has also been set up to display one of the world’s most exclusive supercars – an Aston Martin One-77 which is the only one in Australia, and one of just 77 in the world.”

Outside along the waterfront of Darling Harbour, fans will continue to be impressed.

“There is no doubt visitors to the Show will enjoy the outdoor component on offer at this year’s Show.  Exhibitors have gone to great lengths to ensure the experiences are exciting with plenty of interaction and engagement.

“Whilst we cannot reveal all the details, we will say though that those who visit the 2012 Motor Show will be able to experience things they have never been able to do before at any Motor Show in Australia.”

The 2012 Australian International Motor Show will be held at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour and will open daily at 10am from October 19 to 28.
