According to Jeep, the soft tonneau cover stretches enough to be able to cover larger bulky loads underneath it and it has a water management system to keep cargo dry.
The soft tonneau is priced from $935 and it can be optioned with a sports bar which increases the price to $2424.
The RollTrac cover is operated via a button on either side of the rear corners of the cargo box and is made of black powder-coated aluminium slats. Jeep says the wiring system is integrated into the vehicle’s electrical architecture and has waterproof parts to ensure water stays out of the cabin.
It has an anti-pinch and anti-jam function and also provides high levels of waterproofing.
Jeep has also included a separate secure, lockable cargo box at the front of the RollTrac unit.
Pricing for the RollTrac unit is $4617 and pairing it with a sports bar ups the price to $5351.
As recently reported, Jeep upped the pricing for its two-variant Gladiator dual-cab line-up, which kicks off with the Night Eagle from $70,550 before on-road costs and tops out with the Rubicon at $79,250.
Both Gladiators are powered by the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 petrol engine delivering 209kW/347, driving all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
