Skoda Australia will farewell the current third-generation Fabia with a new Run-Out Edition as the all-new model readies for launch within the next 12 months.

Like the standard Fabia range, the Run-Out Edition is available in both five-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic forms, kicking off at $21,990 drive-away for the hatch and $22,990 for the wagon.

Opting for the self-shifting transmission adds $3000 to the asking price.

Powering all Run-Out Editions is a turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol three-cylinder, outputting 70kW/160Nm when paired with the manual and 81kW/200Nm when coupled with the automatic.

For comparison, the Fabia 70TSI manual hatchback is priced at $18,390 before on-road costs, the wagon body style is $19,490, while autos adding $3000.

An auto-only Monte Carlo grade is also available, priced at $24,990 and $26,090 for hatch and wagon respectively.

Differentiating the Run-Out Edition however, are 16-inch ‘Black Vigo’ alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, sporty rear diffuser, and blacked-out door mirrors and front grille.

Sports suspension and a sports steering wheel are also added, while hatchback and wagon versions respectively score a black roof and silver roof rails.

Inside, the Run-Out Edition receives a 6.5-inch multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, Bluetooth connectivity, surround sound system, and multi-function trip computer.

The front passenger seat also houses an umbrella, while remote central locking, front armrest, mobile phone holder, folding luggage hooks and cargo netting also feature throughout.

In terms of safety, the Fabia Run-Out Edition is fitted with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, six airbags, reversing camera, tyre pressure monitoring and drive fatigue reminder.

Two options are available to Fabia Run-Out buyers – two metallic paint choices for $550 and the $3200 Premium Package that bundles side and rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive LED headlights, rear parking sensors and automatic wipers.

Like all new Skoda vehicles, the Fabia Run-Out Edition comes with a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, while three-year/45,000km and five-year/75,000km service packs are available at the time of purchase for $750 and $1350 respectively.
