We have had to put new tyres on our Ford Territory after four years. The tyres themselves show they should be inflated to 40 psi, but the car's manual says 32 psi for regular unloaded driving for a Territory. Should I follow the tyre or the car guide?
Follow the placard on the car, the pressure shown on the tyre sidewall is the maximum inflation pressure it can withstand, it's got nothing to do with the pressure you should run on your car.
