Weak wheel bearing

My 2007 Ford Territory seems to have a weakness in the rear left side wheel bearing, which we have had replaced three times in three years. We do pull a 19-foot dual-axle caravan that weighs 2 tonnes fully loaded and wonder whether this is the cause, but we only do about 4000 km yearly pulling van. Is this a common complaint in the Territory?

We have had lots of reports of issues with the Territory, but we haven't had reports of wheel bearing problems. That you have had three in three years would suggest that it's a problem with your vehicle, and it's perhaps worth having it closely checked for a manufacturing fault.
