    Toyota Kluger 2013: Tailgate locking?

    We are generally happy with our 7-seater Toyota Kluger, but over the last few months, when we alight from the car and go to open the tailgate, it is locked and we have to return to the driver's seat and retrieve the key or press the button to unlock it. When it was last serviced the mechanics said that this was as it should be, according to the manual, but it makes no sense to us, as it wasn't always like this. We feel we are being treated like fools, as we know how our car has operated in the past. Can you suggest what we can do to correct this problem?

    Go back to the dealer and explain your concern to a more senior person. You should be able to resolve the issue on the spot, if you still not satisfied then take your complaint directly to Toyota.
