Tighten your belt

THE driver's retractable seat belt in my 2006 BFII Falcon XR6 ute sometimes loosens for no reason. My dealer says the compartment which houses the belt in the pillar is tight and sometimes it gets clogged and loosens. I'd certainly not want to be in a head-on with a loose belt. Surely this must be a safety concern for all Ford ute drivers?

THE dealer's so-called explanation is rubbish. The belt is either installed incorrectly or the mechanism is faulty. Take it back and have them either correct the installation or replace the belt.
