Subaru Impreza 2002: Hunting at low speeds

MY DAUGHTER'S 2002 Subaru Impreza has been "hunting" at low speeds in low gears since new, which is frustrating in peak-hour traffic. It feels as if the throttle response is far too sensitive. The same happens at 100km/h in cruise control. Four Subaru service centres say there's nothing wrong and just use more injector cleaner.

WE ASKED Subaru's technical expert for help but he couldn't offer an opinion given the information you provided. His suggestion, which I strongly recommend you follow, is to contact Subaru in Sydney at the company's head office, which has promised to have your car test-driven and the problem resolved.
