    Squeaking brakes

    Ford Ford Advice Ford Territory Ford Territory Advice Ford Territory 2006
    THE brakes of our Ford Territory Ghia have had a loud squeaking noise from when we bought it 18 months ago. It's so bad it sounds like an old taxi that has done 300,000km. I have contacted Ford and its servicing division to try to have the problem fixed, but they will not come to the party. What other action can I take?

    CONTACTING your dealer is the first thing to do when you have a problem. If that doesn't work, go direct to the company. Now you've done that, you need to enlist the help of a brake expert. Ask them to assess the noise and give you an opinion on what might be causing it. Armed with that information, go back to the dealer, and Ford if necessary, and seek a resolution.
