Speed trap

MY ALMOST-NEW Hyundai Elantra has a black speedo with a dark-red indicator, which makes it very hard to read in the micro-second available when travelling at normal speed on the highway. Representations to Hyundai to correct the situation have been brushed aside. Do you think it is Hyundai's responsibility, under its much-publicised five-year warranty, to correct what is obviously a design fault?

I'M NOT surprised Hyundai wasn't interested. To change a speedo face is a big job. Unless it has received a flood of complaints, the company is hardly likely to do anything. You should have checked it during the test drive. You signed on the dotted line. You should have made sure the car was what you wanted before you bought it.
