Smarkote paint protection problem

I recently purchased a new car and had Smarkote paint protection applied, but tiny dots appeared on the bonnet and roof after the first wash. I've taken it back to the retailer and they clay-blocked it and reapplied, but I'm not 100 percent happy with it. I can still see faint dots underneath the new coat. What has caused this? And should I take it back again?
