Rotor check on BA Falcon

I have disc brake rotor shudder on my BA Falcon under light to moderate braking. Some have said the rotors need skimming and different pads fitted; others have said new rotors are needed. What's your opinion?

Have the rotors checked to see how much they have worn. It could be that they only need a skim, but if they are heavily worn they might need replacing.
