New SUV for $30K - $40K

I am thinking of buying a new SUV between $30,000 and $40,000. My eyes are set on Subaru Forester, Honda CR-V or Hyundai ix35, yet I prefer to settle on professional advice on what is the most value-for-money and reliable SUV on the market.

The best value is the ix35, based on the warranty and service package at Hyundai, but the CR-V is the better drive. Both get The Tick but my heart says Honda and my head says Hyundai so you should crunch your numbers and do the best deal for you.
