Navara windscreen paint peeling

The paintwork on my 2007 Nissan Navara started coming away from the windscreen. My dealer said they couldn't do anything about it because it was out of warranty. The car has only done 70,000 km and is garaged. Since then a chip developed on the passenger's side and has progressively got bigger, so I took it in to be fixed at a panel shop at my cost. When removing the tape from painted areas the paint started coming off. Is this a problem for Nissan to have to look to fix?
