I'M RESTORING a 1973 Mini. Everything seems to be going smoothly, but I would like to know if it is necessary to fit the rear bumper for the roadworthiness check. There are no dangerous projections without the bumper fitted. Also, do you know where I can get guidelines for roadworthy prerequisites.
I DON'T believe you will have a problem if the rear bumper isn't fitted, but the best thing to do is to go to your nearest roadworthiness checking station and ask the tester. You can get a guide at your local registration authority.
