MY 2002 TS Holden Astra CD is nearing four years of age, when Holden recommends changing the cam timing belt and tensioner. It has done only 37,375km, much less than the 60,000km Holden also recommends as the belt service interval, so I was wondering if you thought I should have the belt changed.

YES, change the belt and tensioner because Holden recommends it after four years or 60,000km. The possible consequences of not changing it are too horrible to think about. You will be up for much more than the cost of the service if the belt breaks.
