I HAVE a 1998 1.5-litre auto Mazda 121 Metro Shades that has done 115,000km. On a rare country run it gets about 7.0 litres/100km, but on general running around town it averages about 10.5 litres/100km. Would you consider this a reasonable return on the local running?
IT'S at the high end of what I would expect, but it's hard to provide a reason without knowing if you live in a hilly area, if you keep tyre pressures up to the correct level, if the wheel alignment is within spec, and if the engine is in good condition.
