Ford Wagon coughing start

From time to time my 2006 LPG BA Ford Wagon coughs when starting. Ford service technicians cannot seem to find what the problem is only to say that the plugs are dirty and need replacing. However, if and when the car fails to start due to the cough, I allow a space of approximately one minute before again attempting to start it and there's no further problem. I am happy with the car, which runs perfectly and economically once it gets over this issue. Is this a common problem with dedicated LPG vehicles?

It is quite a common problem with cars that have to start on LPG. Most dual-fuel cars get around it by starting on petrol and then automatically switching to LPG after a few seconds. There's probably nothing wrong with your car; if it's running well otherwise, I wouldn't be concerned about it.
