Ford service in question

I can't help but wonder at the high number of complaints you receive regarding Fords, and the equally high number of issues where the Ford dealer will not readily accept the problem and promptly fix it without giving the customer a hard time. Is this common, as I thought a 3-year warranty meant just that, and covered virtually everything apart from consumables such as brake pads etc? Are there people who have had problems, but have had them fixed promptly and politely without a fuss, under warranty? It seems to go against Ford's branding and apparent ideology in their adverts on customer care, corporate ethics and reliability of product and warranty.

I'm sure there are Ford owners who have had their complaints dealt with efficiently and without fuss, but of course they have no reason to contact us so we don't hear from them. What you read in Carsguide is a reflection of what we receive. And don't think it's only Ford that has issues, all carmakers do. Owners have different expectations, sometimes they are unrealistic, and so every case has to be considered on its merits.
