OUR 1990 Nissan Pulsar GL 1.6-litre auto is using way too much fuel. It gets about 15 litres/100km, even though we try to drive it as smoothly as possible. A mechanic tried to fix it by adjusting the carburetor, but it's still using too much fuel. Help!
MY INFORMATION says the Pulsar GL has single-point fuel-injection, not a carburetor, so I'm not sure what adjustments the mechanic made. I would be checking the electronic sensors, specifically the oxygen sensor, that control the air/fuel ratio.
