Asked by Anita Darlow
I own a 2008 BMW 520d. Driving home recently I had a loss of power. I called BMW and it was towed to a dealership. They said the turbo had gone, as had the associated filters, and estimated the cost at over $10,000. I bought it from BMW with full service history and 60,000km in 2012, and had it serviced exclusively by BMW. It's now just done 86,000.
