For years I have been using Turtle Wax to polish my cars, but I am not as impressed with it as I once was. Water only seems to bead for about two months after it has been applied, when Turtle Wax claims it will provide 12 months protection. Are there better products on the market now for solid paint cars?
It can depend on how often you wash your car and what detergents you use when washing it. Old time paint experts really advice against using any detergents at all because they remove then polish you’ve applied. If you wash your car often, and use a detergent, you should also regularly polish it. I use Meguiar’s Wet Look, which is easy to apply and gives a good result, but I’m sure there are other premium products that would also do a fine job.
