The Aston Martin Valkyrie was unveiled in 2016 as a collaboration between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing. Originally codenamed AM-RB 001, the car was designed by Adrian Newey with the goal of bringing Formula One technology to the road. Production began in 2021 after several delays, with just 150 road cars and 40 track-only versions planned.
In 2022 the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro was launched as a lighter, more extreme variant focused on circuit performance. Unlike the road car, it was not homologated for public use and featured a stretched wheelbase, wider track and aerodynamic upgrades. This model showcased how far the Valkyrie platform could be pushed beyond road regulations.
Today the Aston Martin Valkyrie remains the brand’s halo car and a statement of technical ambition. It has no direct replacement but continues to influence Aston Martin’s approach to electrification and future hypercar development.
