The all-new Kluger GXL Hybrid AWD should have been a slam-dunk for Toyota. By ushering in affordable, accessible petrol-electric efficiency, it bypasses the dirty, noisy and smelly diesel alternatives that large SUV buyers must instead choose if they want an economical, family-friendly seven-seater package. But it's expensive, cheap inside and under-equipped, so isn't the sweet spot we expected.
