I would have unloaded that car a long time ago rather than put up with the frustration, and the danger, of driving a car that stalls. As for the problem, you have clearly replaced most things that could contribute to the problem. My guess is that it is a fuel-supply problem or a fuel- mixture problem. I would have the fuel pump checked, check also for fuel blockages in filters, including the filter on the fuel pickup in the tank, and check the carburettor to make sure it is adjusted correctly, particularly the float level. Finally, check for air or vacuum leaks that might make the engine run lean.
We haven't done a report on the EA Corolla, but will put it on the list. Generally, the Corolla is a well-built, trouble-free car. But they are now getting up in miles, so you can anticipate problems occurring. Carefully check for signs of a crash -- there's every chance of a crash on a car of that age. Check for a service record, particularly for evidence of cam belt changes.
The Dunlops are regarded as relatively quiet tyres and are unlikely to be the cause of your complaint unless there is a misalignment problem with the rear suspension. If there is, the tyres could be wearing unevenly which could cause a noise problem. Other than that, the most likely cause is the body structure of the Corolla and its lack of insulation which allows the noise to be transmitted through to the interior. In that case, changing tyres is unlikely to achieve the sort of improvement that would satisfy you. Check the rear wheel alignment and adjust if needed. Other than that, I reckon you're stuck with it.
