Hemi Under Glass
By CarsGuide team · 04 Feb 2010
The Hemi Under Glass drag racing cars were owned by Hurst perforamcne and raced between 1965-1975.  Each wheelstander was based on the current Plymouth Barracuda for the corresponding model year. The car was so named because the fuel injected Chrysler Hemi engine was placed under the Barracuda's exceptionally large rear window. The result of the rearward weight transfer was a "wheelie" down the length of the drag strip. Famous drag acing driver Wild Bill Shrewsberry assisted in the design of the vehicle and was driven by Bob Riggle. Popular model kits of the car were produced in 1/32 scale by Aurora Plastics Corporation and in 1/25 scale by Model Products Corporation. A limited edition 1/18 scale diecast model of the 1966 car is currently available from Highway 61. Riggle returned to exhibition racing in 1992 with a replica of the 1968 car. The original 1965 car is still owned by Bill Shrewsberry and is in storage in Southern California.

Forums spoof A Current Affair hoon story
By CarsGuide team · 04 Feb 2010
Scathing, a senior member of this forum, posted this beauty …"I recently watched a video that glorifies speed and modified cars. It had some guy driving a souped up old V8 Falcon driving his car at crazy speeds in a national park on roads that I've seen families in caravans driving up and down. He could have killed someone with his horrific behaviour! The guy lives in pretend land for a living, but he thinks he's a bleedin' race driver. He became proof how dangerous it is to drive like a hoon when he filmed himself crashing into a tree. He's lucky no-one was injured, but next time that hypothetical family might not be so lucky.Get this maniac off our roads. His name is Eric. Crazy Eric. That's all the details about him I know, so I'm appealing to everyone else on JDMST to keep an eye out for him. But be careful of approaching him and riling him up - you won't like him when he's angry.".....................................................................................................................................................And today… this one, spoofing the ‘I Am The Stig’ t-shirts. It looks like Carlo may end up with a fairly high profile.
