Renault has plugged the gap between small and medium-size SUVs with the five-seat Kadjar, and we spent a week with the mid-range Zen to see how it measures up to family life.

Renault tells us Kadjar is a portmanteau of sorts which blends 'Kad' (quad) and 'Jar' (agile). But we think its most important attribute is it's segment-straddling size.
